I fell asleep at Brien’s house tonight after helping/not really helping him study for his spanish test tomorrow….
He wakes me up at 1:30 and I leave.
Get in the car, half asleep, expecting to get home as soon as possible walk upstairs, put on pajamas, wash my face, get in the bed, and go to sleep.
As I am leaning my face down into my sink I look to my right and what do I see?
A giant nasty cockroach on my counter being completely still except for his two little antennae slightly waving back and forth.
I never ever have to kill my own bugs. I always go and get my dad/mom to kill it for me but its 1:30 in the morning and they’re asleep and so i have to do it my self
:(
and I have to kill it obviously because a) i wont be able to sleep.. it would probably come and crawl on my face … and 2) its just gross
I tell it not to move and go downstairs to get the flyswatter. I am really dreading this. I do not do well with the whole killing bugs thing.
So first I have to get it to move out from underneath the little makeup pouch its hiding under sos i can smash it… and i slightly nudge it.
AND IT BEGINS… It is freaking out and so am I
its flitting about and scurrying and I’m wildly swatting the flyswatter randomly and just loudly smacking counter space and hitting everything except the roach.
I finally hit the dang thing and my flyswatter is going so crazy that the roach gets stuck to the flyswatter and I FLING IT ACROSS THE ROOM and now i don’t know where it is. Because my room is cluttery and now its in a pile of clothes/purses/towels
Ok so im nudging…. FIND IT … its scurrying. and I hit it again …
and again…
and again..
until its just completely obliterated. My killing method was completely unnecessary and messy and probably the most violent killing of a roach ever.
So then I have to clean up the evidence
and then just decide to clean my room all together in case there are others.
Needless to say, Im AWAKE now.
